Damier Ébène is Louis Vuitton's dark-brown and tan checkered coated canvas pattern. Heritage LV motif predating Monogram (Damier was introduced in 1888, Monogram in 1896). Marginally less liquid than Monogram on secondary market but valued for understated appearance.
